Interest Teams' activities, conducted by students with similar interests under the guidance of teachers, actually are one of elective programs in school. Interest Teams' activities play an import role in creating a comfortable and inspiring environment, where students are able to take part in any activity as they like, which will enhance students' physical and mental development. Therefore it is meaningful to do a research on it.This paper focuses on Interest Teams' activities in an elementary school as a case. By carrying up the history of these activities, this school's effort to enlarge the area of students' choice, to conduct these activities more effectively, to upgrade the ability of students is revealed. Additionally, to refine these activities both good experiences and problems in the history are analyzed and some key issues are discussed, including the variety of interests and the relationships between interests and freedom, interests and effort, interests and guidance.Based on the work above, lots of suggestions are concluded: the developments of students' various interests should be viewed as the aim of Student Associations' activities; students should get more choices using the source of school program; the teachers' guidance should be more effective by establishing some regulation; and these activities should cooperate with other school programs.
