Multi-dimensional Design And Practice Of The Primary School English Developing Assignments

Primary school English developing assignment is raised to improve some maladies of traditional assignment. This means that the learning tasks arranged by teachers, which can help students to develop all kinds of knowledge, skills, abilities and are finished by students individually or cooperatively. This paper is about some thoughts of the author's repeated experiments in her teaching practice.In the past more than one year,the author has learned the National Curriculum of English, Piaget's Children Cognitive Theory, Comeninus' Educational Theory, Vygotsky's Psychosocial Developing Theory, Theory of Humanism and Theory of Multiple Intelligences. The author has visited and made investigation among the parents, students and teachers, also learned modestly from experts. With these methods, multi-dimensional primary shool English developing assignments are designed according to teaching materials from 3A to 6B published by Yilin press which include games, making, observation , investigation,drawing and acting; and combine literature,science and technology,art and PE into one. So students use their hands, heads and mouthes happily and develop their langugage skills in the activities.When the students finish their assignments happily,they not only learn some knowledge,but also develop their skills and abilites. Their life-long learning and developing is also improved.The conclusion of the study of the multi-dimensional design of primary school English assignments can be drawn as follows:1. The assignments can develop students' language skills.2. They can help develop students' multiple intelligences.3. They can develop students' nonintellectual factors such as study habits, interests, emotion factors and so on.4. They can develop students' abilities such as imagination, self-study ability, the faculty of memory and practice.
