Research On The Value And Heritable Development Of Ansai Waist Drum

Ansai waist drum is a folk artistic form of combining drum and dance that spreads in the northern area of Shannxi province, and is a very important component which consists Ansai folk traditional culture. The military function of Ansai waist drum gradually disappeared in the process of history development. The present Ansai waist drum functions have been transforming gradually from military and sacrifice purpose to fitness and entertainment functions, and becomes a sport activity of merging with entertainment, fitness and appreciation that will be organized to perform by spontaneous farmers when spring festival, other holidays or the free farming season comes.This thesis analyses and researches explicitly on historical culture origin, the characteristics and features, social value, the existed imperfection in the developing process of Ansai waist drum as well as its correlative countermeasures through mainly using researching method of literature and reference material, on-the-spot investigation interview, field survey procedure, questionnaire survey procedure and mathematical statistics etc. The result indicated that the Ansai waist drum initiated in ancient Huangdi era, formed after the period of Qin and Han Dynasty, integrated in Song Dynasty, thereafter spread widely till now, and is the war-breeding result; the Ansai waist drum, as a sport fitting project, can achieve the aim of building body and health well and sound, possesses the unique fitness value, and promotes the implementation of fitness plan for all Chinese people; the Ansai waist drum, as a cultural brand, can bring benefits for local economy and accelerate local economic and cultural development; the Ansai culture has bred Ansai waist drum while Ansai waist drum in turn has promoted local economic development and cultural dissemination, which highly possesses the physical training value as well as art appreciation value.Undoubtedly, there existed some imperfection in the Ansai waist drum development. I definitely believe that we can develop this folk traditional sports fully with the effort of the Ansai county government, the scientific researcher as well as the physical education and art teachers and staffs, and that it is more significant for enriching physical education courses and contents and advancing national fitness sport for Chinese people by introducing the Ansai waist drum into the college physical education and popular fitness field.
