Military Campus Culture Construction Study In The View Of Cultural Consciousness

Cultural innovation is the leading point in practical innovation, and cultural consciousness can be regarded as the guarantee for the free and aware creation of history. A people's progress follows the rule, so does a university. University Culture is the comprehensive embodiment of the school spirits, school traditions as well as the school disciplines in a university. The culture of a university reflects its ideals, beliefs and pursuits owned by the university during its process of development. The culture also manifests the gradually-established school traditions, the advantageous forces and the features. It is the university culture that is the soul of that university. The certain culture in a university is both the historical accumulation and the reflection of reality as well. The culture still represents the meditation about the solution of current problems, the choices and direction for future development or even future destiny. The culture in a military school bears the same significance. Furthermore, the military culture possesses a connotation which is more sublime and more special. At present, the fundamental conflict in the establishment of campus culture in military school is the contradiction between the construction of military campus culture and the requirements of cultivating new type military talents fulfilling the historical mission of PLA in the new century and new stage. A variety of factors influence the campus culture establishment, such as regional factor, historical factor, social and cultural factor, as well as systematic factor. One of the key factors among them, however, is the conception factor, which we call Conception Handicap, which mainly displays diverge from the cultural consciousness. The major focus of this diverse can result in the imitation in military campus culture under the background of period changing, social culture advancing and the responsibility of CPC keeping pace with the times. Facing the brand-new tasks, strong points and requirements in the new century and new stage, the question of resolving the basic problems in military campus culture construction, still invites further consciousness and innovation.The military campus culture establishment requires penetrating contemplation in a strategic altitude about the cultural consciousness. Guided by the notion of Scientific Outlook on Development, following the cultural consciousness theory, we precisely standardize the military campus culture. In addition, the objective contradiction currently occurring in the military campus establishment is discussed, and the subjective cognitional errors in the military campus establishment are analyzed, so that the basic policies and specific enforcing strategies of the military campus culture establishment with the perspective of cultural consciousness are put forward.The innovative points of this article are as follows.First, it applies the cultural consciousness theory to the research of military campus culture establishment. Second, it presents that, the fundamental contradiction in the military campus culture establishment is the contradiction between the construction of military campus culture and the requirements of cultivating new type military talents fulfilling the historical mission of PLA in new century and new stage. Third, it takes the perspective of cultural consciousness and generalizes the problems in the military campus culture establishment into two aspects: objective contradiction and subjective cognitional deviation. From the objective point of view, it demonstrates the analysis in four levels, namely, spiritual culture level, systematic culture level, behavioral culture level and environmental culture level. The research thus proposes that there exist mismatches in ten aspects between"soldier-ship"and"studentship"in the military campus culture establishment. From the subjective point of view, it expounds from the three levels of carrying out the new mission of PLA, adapting to the new military transformation and strengthening the confluence of the core value system in military schools. This research also puts forward the profound reasons about the relative lagging of the military campus culture establishment from six aspects. Last, the article proposes some directive instructions, principles and strategies in the culture establishment, aiming at the causes and contradictory problems, and beginning with the strategic view of the consciousness of culture performers. Therefore, this research work develops some beneficial theoretical discussions into the scientific establishment of military campus culture which embodies the vanguard nature and is alive with idiomatic features in the new century.
