This dissertation reviews English-born philosopher and educator Whitehead's thinking oneducation, and tries to combine our higher education status quo using them. The article is dividedinto five chapters, hierarchical structure similar to an inverted pyramid shape. Introductioninvolves the origin of the study of education as appropriate. In the text, the author chooses"incident" and "target" two key words for the entry point to describe the philosophical foundationof education of Whitehead, connected with his philosophy of ontology, epistemology andphilosophy of the relevant content. The author constructs the direct links between philosophy andeducation of Whitehead at the end of this part, so that leap to the article on Whitehead's thinkingof the Education Review. Through self-thinking and compare with other famous educator, theaims of education and the thesis of education process as well as higher education idea ofWhitehead have been interpreted. At the end of this article, the author attempts to integrate theideological and theoretical knowledge above and China's practice of general education, outlines asketch of mathematics education will be the introduction of the core courses. The thought ofWhitehead is original. Undoubtedly, Whitehead's ideas have offered us new methods andresource for our society of the most profound problems. It is serious for us to seek more from it.
