Beginning teachers is a particular group of the teaching force, who is on the stage of changing into a teacher's role from a student's, that's a critical period of teachers' professional development. On the faculty position, they have to face a variety of adaptation questions: adaptation to the teaching guide, adaptation to the class management, adaptation to the share of senate management, and adaptation to the management of interpersonal relationship.Based on theories of teachers professional development, beginning teachers behavioral investigation, survey, and theoretical research, this thesis analyses the difficulties and problems beginning teachers face and their causation, suggest thoughts and methodologies of overcoming these difficulties and problems in beginning teachers professional development, hoping to provide some practical guidance.The paper is based on the questionnaire that is introduced from Korea. With the actual condition of Yanbian region, it did a modification for the questionnaire and gave an investigation among 150 beginning teachers.Through investigation and research, the following conclusions are reached for current junior high school beginning teachers adaptation to a new teaching career:1. Teachers adaptation curve is U-shaped, indicating a "strong-weak-stronger" tendency, relatively high at the beginning, decrease subsequently, and increase again as teachers gain more experience.2. In general, junior high school beginning teachers adaptation is good. Most of them think they can adapt to the education and training requirements at high level, albeit at different adaptation levels of various dimensions.3. There exist significant differences between Korean and Chinese teachers in teaching load sharing and interpersonal relationship. In beginning stage of teachers adaptation, Korean teachers show higher adaptation abilities.4. The causation of beginning teachers adaptation difficulties is multifaceted, mainly influenced by the environment change before and after they start their teaching career. On the aspect of teaching guide, the adaptation ability of the teachers who graduated from a normal school is better than other teachers who didn't graduate from a normal school. Some suggestions are proposed as the following: minimize beginning teachers social responsibilities; to arrange the teaching tasks reasonably; provide regional culture guidance; set up a competitive mechanism; teachers promote professionalism; improve the beginning teachers' benefits and social status; establish a scientific and rational evaluation system.
