On The Course Of Outdoor Survival On Islands For College Students Along The Littoral Province

This study, based on the"Rules and Regulations of School Physical Education"and"National Guidance to Physical Education in Higher Education", on the Scientific Development Outlook, and being human-oriented, takes the construction of the course of outdoor survival on islands as the mainstream, enhances the formation of teamwork for the course and integrates theory with practice, thus to explore the ways to survive on islands, and to further develop the course creatively. The purpose is to transfer the only biological idea of enhancing physical quality to three-dimensioned one of improving health biologically, psychologically and socially. The latter concept will inevitably lead to the multi-directions of PE goals. This means that modern PE, with the guidance of modern concept of"health first", should be human-oriented, with"physical activities"and"health"as parallel tasks, classifying the learning goals into five aspects: physical participation, physical skills, physical health, psychological health and social adaptation. The enrichment of the PE contents, together with the measure of outdoor survival training on islands, will help students to develop a right attitude towards PE, to better understand the idea of"health first", to gain more PE interests and training ability, and to improve their physical and psychological health and social adaption.Survival training, outdoor survival and survival summer camp, these activities can play a positive role in developing esprit de corps and bravery to challenge difficulties among people, particularly those attracted by the outdoor survival on islands. The superficial understanding of this activity, let alone little experimental research on the course system, requires us to figure out solutions to the following questions: What is on earth the course system of outdoor survival on islands? In what aspects does it function? How to realize its value? All these are our major research projects and an inevitable choice for school PE reform as well.
