As two powerful external factors,policy driving to transform the way of economic development and global action to reduce carbon emission,have brought to an early end the industrialization of our country.The arrival of the post-industrial age has changed the way people lived as well.This means people have more time to pursue their personal interests,while taking advantage of their spare time for rest and entertainment.Outdoor recreation has currently become an indispensable part in daily life of college students,who,as a large and special social group,have ideas to seek after a rich life,and leisure time to look for recreation.At present,college students have been one of the leading forces for outdoor recreation.This paper,based on the previous analysis,has drawn the final conclusion as below.(1)With factor analysis,the paper summarizes four kinds of motivation that students of Central South University of Forestry and Technology(CSUFT)and Griffith University(GU)have towards outdoor leisure,which are respectively named Sightseeing,Emotion Relaxation,Study Participation and Health Experience.(2)Difference is of no significance in motivation of students from two universities in terms of Sightseeing,Study Participation,and Health Experience,but concerning Emotion Relaxation,the motivating intensity of GU is higher than that of CSUFT.(3)Students from the two universities are significantly different in their motivation towards Sightseeing vs.Study Participation,Sightseeing vs.Health Experience,and Emotion Relation vs.Health Experience,but insignificant in Study Participation vs.Health Experience.In motivation towards Sightseeing vs.Emotion Relation,however,GU is obviously different while CSUFT is not.
