Urbanization Of Rural Areas And Expansion Of The Functions Of Rural Schools

This study knows about the lifestyles of the farmers and students from the small town communities and think about their educational requirements when they adapt to urban life and how the rural school education functions as well as their meanings and methods by investigating the history and the current situation of the rural development, observing and interviewing the farmers and students.The urbanization continues, the rural families keep gathering to towns. Small town communities have become the new homes of the farmers. Traditional villages are disappearing and the spirit of the rural communities is losing. The small town communities have become the basic link of social construction and management and the meeting point of various social contradictions. During the process of becoming urban residents, the famers will experience cultural influence,reconstruction and re-adaptation and become the real new city residents. Schools are the foundation of community education and have rich educational resources. We should strengthen the communication of school and social resources and realize the utilization of resources in order to meet the growing educational needs of farmers and to provide communities with good education. Rural education should be open to communities and has the duty to educate the students to be the ones who adapt to community life. At present, community education is not paid attention to in school education. It is more common that school education is closed to itself and keeps itself away from communities. It is educators'duties to construct the school-based curriculum suitable for communities, find out new contents of the moral education and hand on new ideas of the Physical Education. The expansion of school education has much to do with the functions of community service, the construction of the network of school, society and family education and can promote the healthy development of school education and community cultural construction. It is important to realize the ideal that life is education and to promote all-round development of students.This study shows that the expansion of the function of school education plays an important role in constructing the network of school, society and family education and promoting the healthy development of school education itself and the cultural construction of communities.
