As an essential way in expressing and communicating in the written form, writing is a process of understanding the world & ego as well as creative expression. Therefore, whether for "communication"or for "life", the writing is supposed to focus on training students' survival and development. The new curriculum has brought forward the basic concept of writing teaching, while the long-term writing teaching remains out-of-order and closed-end, even the tool of examination-oriented education. Therefore, the necessity of Innovations in writing teaching is exigent.Innovation is the traditional breakthrough and beyond, and innovative writing teaching is supposed to deal with the problem of focusing on "academy" overly but ignoring "person" ever since a long time ago. Thus it would solve the problems of "what to teach" and "how to teach". Nowadays in the research field of innovative writing teaching, much research has been done by plenty of specialists, scholars and teachers, but this kind of research is scattered and unsystematic. This paper would carry on an investigation in innovative writing teaching systematically from the aspects of theory and practice. It is divided into five parts.Part one: The meaning of innovative writing teaching defines the meaning of "innovation" and "Writing" and "innovative teaching writing";Part two: The analysis of investigation of writing teaching in senior high school. It begins with the investigation of the reality of writing teaching, and analyses the problems from the investigation;Part three: The rational thinking of innovative writing teaching in senior high school. On the basis of the study situation of innovative writing teaching at home and abroad, in the aspect of theory, put forward the theoretical basis of the innovative writing teaching, and the basic concepts & principles of practice in new curriculum.Part four: The basic ways and strategies of innovative writing teaching in senior high school. From the practical level, put forward the basic strategy from the aspects of "Open-ended writing topics, Return to writing origin, Outspread and personality, Share life growth". Put forward the basic way from the aspects of the combination of speaking & writing, reading & writing, classical Chinese & colloquialism and the collective & the individual. It also discusses the case of the practical exploration.Part five: Problems with my own thinking, from "tradition & innovation, patterns, innovative writing & writing test as well as teachers", and point out that innovative teaching writing could be successful due to teachers is the key.
