Imagination is a mental process which medal image is transformed into a new image by the human brain and a advanced cognition based on medal image. As a crucial part of intelligence, imagination incarnates thinking ability. Students' imagination ability can be improved to some degree through effective writing training.The research is just on the basis of above analysis of imagination development in the field of writing teaching at home and abroad. Response to junior middle school students' main thinking styles(that's legislative style, external style, liberal style), the study puts forward basic strategies and advanced strategies to improve their imagination ability:Basic strategies aim at improving students' storage of medal image. Medal image's come into being depends on knowledge and experience. The more knowledge and experience students possess, the more high their thinking level. To Chinese teachers, they can play a important role in these field: to encourage students to observe actively,to plan in-class reading teaching,to give students instructions on out-of-class reading.Advanced strategies aim at systematically improving students' imagination. Based on junior middle school students' main thinking styles, these are many effective methods to cultivate imagination in writing. To legislative style, music writing,based-on-picture writing and creative writing are involved; To external style, brain storming and team writing are involved; And to liberal style, expanded writing,continued writing,adapted writing and one subject multi-writing.
