Composition teaching is a significant part and also a relative weak one in Chinese teaching.Since young students of primary schools learn to write composition at the initial and essential stage,it is therefore of great significance and necessary to conduct a research on composition teaching.Through reading students' compositions,the classroom observation of composition teaching and the interview for teachers,it is clear to see that middle and low stage students in primary schools have such problems on composition writing as changes of composition writing interest from high to low,and even fear of difficulty,there is a lack of imagination and creativity on content.It is concluded that developing students' creativity is an important way to solve the above problems by analyzing composition topics in teaching materials and teachers' teaching methods.Imagination,an important factor to improve the creation of literature,plays an essential role in the development of primary school students' thinking space,intelligence and writing ability.Thus,it is urgent to make a set of systematic and operable composition writing strategies used to develop students' imagination based on the analysis and interpretation on the imagination of composition,teaching objectives,characteristics of middle and low stage students' imagination in primary school.First of all,it is necessary to develop students' good habits of observation and of making summary of the characteristics of things in daily life.Secondly,students should be encouraged to practice and gain unique life experiences.At the same time,on the basis of observation and experience,teachers should guide students to read widely,accumulate constantly,enrich images of life with a view to lay a foundation for imagination.Thirdly,multiple training methods of imagination are also included such as the creation of classroom scenarios to stimulate the imagination,building imagination through word writing exercises.In addition,methods such as text writing,text expansion,text rewriting are adopted to develop imagination.Through a variety of methods to encourage students to develop creative imagination,enable them to write the article more vivid and creative and so as to improve the quality and level of composition.
