This study is based on our case in the school, through the research of teachers and students, and found out what are the outstanding controllable factors resulted in underachiever. It can provide a basis for the prevention and transformation. Through this study, we promote the education for all students, So that every student has equal access to education and development.This papers collected domestic and foreign research data and formed the review of domestic and foreign research. Through studying the main academic adverse factors, this paper concluded that underachiver is caused by students themselves. There include cognitive and non-cognitive factors. And the paper followed the rule of the people-oriented, and respect for individuality, and studied three students who have changed a lot from underachiver. As a result, their cases can provide a favorable basis.This paper can be divided into three parts. The first part is the foreshadowing of the whole papers, which includes background, significance, research programs and literature review. The second part is the investigations of Y high school students who have learning disabilities, through questionnaires, interviews. There are the relevant factors with teachers which impact on the academic performance of students, such as teacher attitudes and methods of mistakes; incorrect teaching methods; and the bad behavior of teachers. The student self-factors which impact on student achievement can be divided into cognitive factors and non-cognitive factors. Cognitive factors refer to the improper methods of learning. Non-cognitive .factors include the followings: such as, lack of motivation; lack of interest in learning; poor study habits; quality will of the weak; and lack of self-confidence. There are other factors such as teaching materials.The third part is to transform the three students, through the motivation to learn and stimulate interest in the study. First, for Xiao Wang, strengthen the guidance of learning, and develop his self-confidence. Second, for Xiao Ye, give him the success of learning, and then have an interest in learning. Third, for Xiao Chen, stimulate motivation and make sure the learning objectives.
