The transformation of the underachiever meets the requirement of quality oriented education as well as the heated social issue.One of the cores of quality oriented education is to face the whole students.Only face the whole students can they get full development.Therefore,it has been an important project which refers to the improvement of the national quality and our country's integrated strength.The thesis adopts the literature study,questionnaire,interview and case study.During the research,the writer analyses the causes of underachievers in higher grades in the primary school by questionnaire,interviews,analyzing their mental features and classifying them according to their study performance.The writer combines the graded teaching theory,multiple intelligence theory,Weiner's Attribution Theory,Victor H.Vroom's Expectancy Theory,Gu Lingyuan's Underachieves Theory with the causes of underachievers in math in higher grades in primary school and gives solutions in the aspects of school,teachers,students themselves and their parents.To make the research more purposeful and more practical,the writer adopts four different types of underachievers in the class to have a case study.They have typical features: the type of wrong learning methods,less motived,lazy and playful and mood fluctuate.All the types of the students share a lot in common as well as have something special.According to their family background,study situation and personality,the writer carries out different transformation measures.Hopefully,with the completion of the thesis and study,make some reference for the teachers in class on the tips of underachiever transformation in different types of higher grades math.
