China is undergoing a tremendous social reform, which expose a great impact on and remold university students. University students, as a whole, develop healthy and positive conditions of morality and thoughts, which go in line with the time of revolution. However, there are still some disappointing phenomena need to be concerned about university students----crimes committed by university students are increasing yearly, criminals are growing in number, and the damages are going worse.This article employed theories of sociology of deviance, and made a deep investigation of social environment, social culture, social communication process and social control mechanism, and analyzed various social factors that influenced university students'criminal behaviors under the existing social conditions of China, and extracted and summarized the social variations. We hope to control and prevent from students committing crimes through controlling and adjusting relevant dereferences of social variations. This article consists of three chapters.In chapter one: I made a prevue of university students'crime in two segments. The first segment mainly defined what university students'crime is, and it refers to crimes committed by university students caused social perniciousness and should be penalized by provisions of criminal laws of our country. In this article, those crimes may not be penalized by laws are also taken into consideration, because these behaviors committed crimes in fact, they were not penalized just for little damage, or surrender, or making contributions. The second segment mainly discussed the characteristics of university students'crime, which developed various patterns, means and a increasing population, and intellectualization apparently. What's more, under influences of lacking social experiences and mature minds and resistance against frustration, the crimes by students show strong features of violence, burstiness, anti-society, gang and complex motivations.In chapter two, I ascertained the causes of university students'crimes under the perspective sociology of deviance in five segments. This chapter is the core of this article. The sociology of deviance studies human deviance from aspects of sociology. The most outstanding study of sociology of deviance is the works《on suicide》by E.Durkheim, a French sociologist. Sociologists of deviance flew into different schools because they developed different theory structures, research approaches and policies, and they are Anomie and Strain Theory, Class-based Subculture Theory, Differentiate Association Theory, Social Control Theory, and Labeling Theory. This article made brief introductions and analysis of the five main schools and their theories, and summarized five main social causes of students'crimes, and extracted thirteen social variations that influenced students'crimes. If we can control and adjust these thirteen variations, letting them dereference in positive direction, we can effectively restrain students'crimes. The five main causes of students'crimes are:(1)The negative influences of social reform. University students are growing in the period of reform, and they are immature in establishing the philosophy of life, value and the world. They lack social experience and resolving ability, which make them most subject to the social anomie, and some of them can not handle the conditions rightly and rationally, so they developed wrong values and behave improperly, even commit crimes.(2)The negative influences of subculture of deviance. On the one hand, the social regulations and value systems of our country at the period of reform manifest diversification, the dominant values are weakening in attractiveness to students. On the other hand, some of university students can not find right position when they are faced with the pressures of academic works, employment, and survival, and some of them choose to cower back to the virtual world of peer or individual. The two reasons formed two kinds of subcultures of deviance---diversificational bias and frustrational bias, which lead to or aggravate students'crimes.(3)Errors of students'socialization. The problems existing in the socialization of university students are mainly manifested in the conflict between insufficient socialization and over-socialization. If students who are in the process of socialization contact and agree with the values and attitudes that leading deviance, they are likely to commit crimes in the future. What's worse, the harmful contacts in the process of socialization make it more difficult to prevent and correct students committing crimes.(4)The social regulations and connections are weakening. In the period of social reform, the structure of society changes rapidly, incentives of committing crimes increase, external controls weaken, all these factors, to some extend, lead some students who lack the knowledge and senses of laws to commit crimes.(5)Those who are important to students responded with hostility to students'deviance. Universities usually label those who behaved in the way of deviance (but not committing crimes), which may catalyze their criminal behaviors or push them to the gangs. Those who are important to students responded with hostility to students'deviance made students to commit more deviances or even crimes. If the students who committed crimes were treated with hostilities by the society and the social control organizations, they can hardly go back to the normal world.In chapter three, I discussed prevention mechanism of students'crimes from the perspective of sociology of deviance in five segments, and this chapter is the ultimate objective of the study. Mainly based on the thirteen variations raised in chapter two, I proposed suggestions to them accordingly in order to create a upstanding and suitable social environment for university students to live in and restrain crime hopefully. I think we should set up prevention mechanism as follows:In order to keep university students from committing crimes, we should build service platforms and establish rational concept of achievement; we should reinforce the attractiveness of dominant culture and set culture compatibility mechanism; we should strengthen socialization education and purify growing environment; we should complement social regulation systems and consolidate social connections; we should respond with kindness and senses to students'deviances and crimes.
