Professional spirit of teachers as a significant part of the teachers professionalization is an internal influential factors of the development of it .The achievement of the research is not satisfied to the researchers whatever the depth or the breadth. This thesis try to expand and deepen it on the base of the achievement in the field.The thesis goes deep into the meaning, characters and influential factors of professional spirit of teachers, the malpractice of the traditional professional spirit of teachers and the superiority, embodiment and the significance of the modern professional spirit of teachers, at the end of the thesis comes some strategies for fostering the modern professional spirit of teachers on the base of interviewing some teachers on the status quo of the professional spirit of teachers and a cause of analysis of it.The thesis is composed of four parts.Part1:Introduction.It begins with a brief introduction of the background ,the purpose and the significance of the scheme chosen, a summary of the achievement in this field ,the direction of the research and the main methods adopted in this paper.Part2:Theoretical studies in professional spirit of teachers. With analysis on teaching profession and summarizing interrelated study, definite the meaning of the professional spirit of teachers is that the behavior of characteristics, professional demeanor, quality spirit, personality characteristics of teachers reflected in teaching practice on the base of the deep understanding of the professional ethics of teachers and strictly abide by the professional ethics of teachers. The study expound the internal and external influential factors of the professional spirit of teachers. Comparing with the traditional and modern professional spirit of teachers, expound the malpractice and deletion of the traditional professional spirit of teachers .The modern professional spirit of teachers is better and more develop than the traditional professional spirit of teachers. State the superiority of the modern professional spirit of teachers. The embodiment of it includes spirit of service, professionalism, caring spirit, spirit of cooperation, entrepreneurial spirit and spirit of innovation. The thesis considers modern professional spirit of teachers could impel teachers to join social value with individual value and bestire them to improve abilities and inspire scanning the beauty of the vocation into them and guide them to make a significant working life.Part3:The existing problems of the professional spirit of teachers and the causes of it. Through the interview survey to the specific teachers in NanChang City and using some survey results for reference, it open out the circs of the professional spirit of the primary and secondary school teachers and analyze the causes of the preambles.Part4:Strategies for fostering the modern professional spirit of teachers. According to the current situation, this study come some strategies for fostering the modern professional spirit of teachers from the areas of the community, the school and the teachers themselves on the base of the theoretical studies and interview survey.
