Compared with some western industrial countries like American ,Germany and Japan , our labour force is superior in the quantities not in the quality. What we are engaged in is the labour-intensive process ,which locates at the end of the industrial chain and lacks large quantity of skillful workers. As I mentioned above , such situation makes productivity and product quality very low. Even we pay massive energy and expensive cost ,we are still unable to struggle with such countries like Germany in the hi-tech market. To develop China economy steadily and healthily,we are in great need of labourers who have high quality and creative spirit. So the solution of this problem relies on the vocational education.Chinese is the best comprehensive course among all courses. It is rich in content and covers all kinds of courses in both humanities and natural science.In the Program of Secondary Vocational School about Chinese Teaching , it pointed out that Chinese is the basic course for all students in different majors .Chinese is good for students' political thought and scientific quality ,also does well in forming professional ability and continue study.But now ,we should not ignore the fact that the present situation of Chinese teaching is not optimistic in vocational school. I, a Chinese teacher ,want to analyse its situation and discovery existent problems ,then introduce a new teaching method -situated teaching . I think using this method can raise the quality of Chinese teaching in vocational school.In this essay ,the first part introduces the present situation of Chinese teaching and the necessity and feasibility of Chinese situated teaching in vocational school.The second part is the history of situated teaching.The third part is the theory basis and principles about situated teaching .In the fourth part , we can know the concrete usage ,means and process about situated teaching The last part is situated teaching and teacher's competence...
