Study On Status Quo And Development Strategy Of High Level Sports Teams In Universities In Chongqing

The establishment of high-level sports team in universities,which is an important strategy of developing multi-level,multi-training athletic reserve talent,aims to cultivate full-developed sports talents and to make contribution to the sustainable development of competitive sports.Seen from the development trend of the world competition sports nowadays,the establishment of high-level sports team in universities has got some successful experience in the western countries,and has turned out many kinds of excellent professional athletes in large numbers.After 20 years of exploration and practice,certain achievements have been made by the high-level sports team in universities,but compared with the top-level athlete group in developed countries still there is greater disparity in many aspects.Shortage of funds,obstacle of student source,lack of management,the contradiction between learning and training,as all of these problems have actually blocked the development of top-level athlete group,it has become extremely urgent to set up a scientific management mechanism for the top-level athlete group.The thesis makes researches on the 12 high-level sports teams in Southwest University, Southwest University of Political Science and Law,Chongqing University,Chongqing Technology and Business University,Chongqing University of Science and Technology,which are qualified for recruiting top-level athlete groups.The applied methodologies include reviewing literature, investigating,mathematical statistics and contrast analysis.By means of an extensive investigation and analysis of the management situation of the top-level athlete group in Chongqing,the thesis finally comes up with some correspondent solutions.The result could be summarized as follows:1) The guideline of building high-level sports teams in universities in Chongqing can't match the national policy to a large extent.The goal is low,and the management of teams remains to be perfected.2) The monotonous traditional model lives on the fees of school itself,with less market-oriented.3) The training fields,equipment of high-level sports team have not been assured.By lacking of particular event equipment and facility,they could only meet the basic requirements for training.4) The fundamental question that the Chongqing high-level sports teams in universities faced with in its course of development is shortage of funds and just form single source.5) Universities have not been equipped with specialist team doctor,health-care and recovery measurement and science research team.6) The age structure of coach is not reasonable,which needs younger person.Many of them are bachelor degree.They have a strong teaching and research capabilities with less post training,and have rich experience in leading.7) The quality of students recruited in Chongqing high-level sports team is poor,and their athlete class is low.It is not optimistic that many athletics' performance is getting down after attending school.Athletes of ball games have more opportunity to participate in sports games than athletes of field,swimming.To solve the existing problems mentioned above,there are several suggestions:marketization operating;raising funds through various channels;establishing science research teams; multidisciplinary cooperation;scientific construction of training system;strengthening the management of athletes;on the correct handling of the contradiction between learning and training; intensify the training of coaches,and of reserve talented person.
