Educational demands of parents mean that parents have demands on kindergarten education so that their children can develop in an all-round way. These demands vary with parents' background, facilities of the kindergarten, and the characteristics of children. With the development of society, educational demands of parents on kindergarten are also becoming diversified, different from the past, and there are many disharmony phenomena between the parents and the kindergartens. Nowadays , It has become an important subject to determine the educational demands of parents on kindergarten.This study first reviewed related literature of parents' educational demands both at home and abroad, and arranged some related concepts and theories. By means of interview, questionnaire and other research methods, this study investigated the general situations of the educational demands of parents and t and further talked about and the correlated variables . parents are 393 from 6 different kindergartens (different in grade and level),. Descriptive and inferential statistical methods were used with the help of SPSS 11.5.It was found that:1. In general, the order of the parents' attention degree to the kindergarten educational demands is: traffic convenience, tuition, information sources, curriculum contents, educational concepts, educational environment and facilities, properties of the kindergarten, teachers' abilities, reputation of the kindergarten, and specific requirements of the parents.2. Such factors as the relationship between parents and children, the age and the educational background of the parents have influence on parents' educational demands.3. Educational demands of the parents in different kindergartens are different. 4. Parents' educational demands are different in their children's grade, but are not influenced obviously by the children's gender.5. Most parents feel "average" about kindergarten's education, and less than half of parents express satisfaction. Those parents whose children are in public kindergartens, the first-rate kindergartens, or the bottom class and whose children are girls have more satisfaction.6. Most parents think the traffic convenience is the most important factor when they choose kindergartens, but their demands will change after the children enter the kindergartens. Parents think educational concepts, environment and facilities and teachers' abilities should be improved.Based on the discussions, it suggested that measures should be taken to enhance communication and co-operation between families and kindergartens, so as to meet the parents' educational demands and promote the children's full development.
