According to the types and characteristics of graphics, this essay tries to illustrate the theoretical basis,the education value and the educational strategies of the graphics education from the perspectives of psychology and pedagogy.After having surveyed both teachers and students, we found the current situation and the remaining deficiencies of the graphics education, which this essay points out.Based on the analysis of ability,the graphic ability consists of four levels:reading,identification,drawing and graphics conversion.This essay analyzes the key points each level contains, and illustrates the relevant methods of ability cultivation, which will be illuminated through a few examples clearly.Combining the theory with personal teaching experience and activities in class, the author has done specific research on the application of object pictures, diagrammatic sketch, charts, functional images, graphics tools in senior high school, and pointed out the principles of the use, the notes of application, and the abilities to be trained .Based on the analysis of the five chapters above,six effective methods to improve students'graphics abilities have been given in the essay:the use of multimedia,the writing of preview outline,the training of figures understanding,the training of multi-solutions to one problem,discussion on unit graphic summary,graphic lectures by students themselves. Finally,it has pointed out the deficiencies of the research and the future of this procedure.
