Mathematical thought is the soul of math which is the quintessence to solve the math problem.Instantly,the thoughts of symbolic-graphic combination is one of the methods in primary mathematics teaching.But there are several founds in practical teaching:some teachers still pay more attention on logic explanation and calculation as for the symbolic-graphic combination they just implement formalized.And this make students get board even contradict of teaching math.This thesis based on this practical problem,use literature research method,text research method and case method to study the application strategy of symbolic-graphic combination in teaching.The thesis divided into four parts: the first part is introduction which includes the basics of this thesis,literature review,research significance and research method;the second part is the explanation of relevant problem in symbolic-graphic combination research method which include the definition of the method in symbolic-graphic combination,the theoretical basis of symbolic-graphic combination thoughts which influenced in primary mathematics teaching.The third part based on the symbolic-graphic combination in PEP mathematics textbook in fifth grade primary school to analyze the its contents presentation and characteristic of adoption of textbook in three parts which are aiding maths problems with graphics,aiding graphics with maths problems and mutual aids between maths problems and graphics.The fourth part is based on aiding maths problems with graphics,aiding graphics with maths problems and mutual aids between maths problems and graphics to raise the concept that to experience the “math” connotation through introducing basic graphics;utilize area model to understand calculation and arithmetic;use the characteristic of maths to permeate the thoughts of model;excavate the inner connection of “maths and graphics” to construct graphics;permeate primarily thoughts of function with the aids of numbers.The paper embarks from the theory and combines the maths reality to raise a series strategy which permeate the symbolic-graphic combination thoughts and play out advantages of symbolic-graphic combination extremely to help students to develop not only the ability of logic but also feel the incredible charming of mathematics.
