An Investigation And Analysis Of The Current Situation Of Basketball Coaches In Municipal Sports Schools Of Shandong Province

In our country,coaches in sports schools form an indispensable part of Chinese coaches.With competition in the field of athletic sports getting fiercer and fiercer,the cultivation of reserve talents for athletic sports is becoming more and more important.Therefore,it is considered as the lifeline and cornerstone of athletic sports.In the process of cultivating reserve basketball talents,the basketball coaches in municipal sports schools play a pivotal role and their abilities directly affect the techniques and tactics of a basketball team,as the tutorial level and dedication of coaches determines the training quality and proficiency of a team.Based on a survey of basketball coaches conducted in each city of Shandong province,this thesis,in which such approaches have been employed as documentary approach,questionnaire approach, mathematical statistics approach,interview approach,mathematical statistics approach,logic analysis approach,analyzes the present situation of these basketball coaches and proposes some suggestions for the further healthy development of basketball coaches in sports schools.The research results suggest:the age distribution of basketball coaches in the municipal sports schools is comparatively reasonable,middle-aged coaches being the majority(77.77%);the sex ratio is unbalanced,the proportion of female basketball coaches is too low(29.63%);The academic structure is relatively rational,undergraduates and junior collage graduates constitute the majority part(88.88%),but the contingent of coaches is lack of high educational background,these coaches are conscientious,but because of some reasons,their enthusiasm needs to be motivated and maintained;the training skills of most coaches need improvement,for a large number of coaches still train players only with experience;recovery measures which are essential for maintaining and improving athletic ability have been neglected;these coaches are not good at academic research;the promotion of coaches mainly depends on the assignment of higher authorities;the evaluation of their performance is mainly based on the results of matches;they are under great physical and psychological pressure,especially the latter;young coaches express dissatisfaction with welfare treatment;the managerial mode is too simple, coaches usually resort to physical punishment and more humanistic management is needed badly.In view of these problems mentioned above,this study presents several suggestions:to further perfecting the coaches system as to standardize training system;to communicate and exchange training experience with coaches in and out of Shandong province so that training skills can be improved;to examine regularly coaches' physical and psychological condition;to suggest them get rid of bad habits in daily life and develop comprehensive hobbies which are beneficial to their health; to motivate coaches to exercise creativity in their work;to make the coach management more scientific and humanistic.This study is not only meaningful to the development of basketball sports in Shandong province but of certain reference value for other cities and provinces.
