Research On Results And Information Services Of Archery Events At Beijing Olympic Games

Results information service is a significant part of sports competition organizing management.Accurate and prompt results calculation and Diffusion brings assurance for the smooth operation of sports competition and offers important information to news media and spectators to know the situation of the competition.International Olympic Committee and all the International Sports Federations attach much importance to results information service all the time,and provide it as one of the important service items to their clients.The results information service of the management of domestic archery events is defined as the results statistics work and differs from what is done in the Olympic Games,in order to attach more importance to the procedure of results calculation and information assurance of competition operation and make it as a significant internal part of organizing management.Because of lack of recognition to information diffusion,little results information was provided to news media and spectators in the domestic archery competition.It is essential to enhance the level of results information service by consulting the operation in other sports disciplines or international archery events.Thanks to the success of Beijing Olympic Games,all aspects of the organizing management of Beijing Olympic Games have attracted a lot of attention throughout the entire society,and started to become the focus of academic research.However,due to the significant practicality and strict professional requirement in the field of Sports and Information Technology,the results information service project of Beijing Olympic Games has not been paid enough attention,and still suffers from the shortage of related research.By using the literature methodology,the expert interview,the comparison methodology and the empirical analysis method,the present dissertation generalized the situation of results information service of Beijing Olympic Games,made an intensive study to the status of time management,quality management,risk management and team building in the two key stages of the project progress,analyzed the advanced methods and the valuable experience of the operation of results information service project,and compared with the results statistics work of domestic archery events,to explore the significance of reference for the results information service of domestic archery events and to improve the level of the results information service in the competition organizing management of domestic archery events.The main conclusions of the present dissertation are as follows:The operation of the results information service in archery event at Beijing Olympic Games was divided into six stages,among which the laboratory testing stage was the fundamental one and the Venuisation stage was the pivotal one.The applying of a series of management methods ensures the high level of results information service in archery event at Beijing Olympic Games.Attaching importance to the information release is one of the outstanding characteristic of the results information service in archery event at Beijing Olympic Games.The impersonal requirement and the economic condition do not exist for domestic archery events to copy the results information service in archery event of Beijing Olympic Games, but the position,the operation mode,the management methods can be consulted.By taking an operation mode regarded information diffusion and investing definite cost to develop a results software which can be universally applied in domestic archery events,the results information can be provided to news media and spectators as one of the competition service items,to enhance the spectatorship,the public attention and the market value of the events,and to promote the popularization of archery.Based on the above conclusions,the present dissertation gives suggestions such as paying more attention to the results information service in the archery events and establishing the system of results information service of domestic archery events.
