Taiyuan, Shanxi Traditional Project School Volleyball Team Survey And Study Of The Status Quo

Volleyball as an exercise inspiring a generation of Chinese has exerted a crucial role in enhancing the morale,confidence and unity of the whole nation.However,Chinese volleyball players' performance was for a certain period of time not as satisfying as it used to be.Targeting at changing this situation,China established a framework for future development based on the regulation on strengthening after-class physical training and enhancing the competence of competitive sports players.This regulation is the milestone of new era when after-class physical training in China moved to a higher level.At present stage, China has more than 320 experimental schools for potential future sports players.Taiyuan city,Shanxi Province has various experimental schools for potential young sports players,among which six schools specialize in volleyball.Every year Shanxi province will hold mandatory volleyball games for all the experimental schools at the municipal and provincial levels so as to observe the young players' performance and examine the training achievements of the experimental schools.This essay makes detailed analysis on the current situation,problems and performance of potential young volleyball player in six experimental schools in Taiyuan city,Shanxi province by employing research methods including literature review,interviews on professionals,survey and etc. Then it points out the reasons affecting the improvement of the players'competence and proposes suggestions in solving the problems:1) The competence of the youth volleyball teams of Taiyuan City is relatively limited.However,the players have distinctive targets and positive value in taking the career of playing volleyball.2) The average age,education and rank of coaches is basically reasonable. Some schools even hired coaches of high competence and rank.But the coaches themselves don' t have enough training opportunities.3) The funding for volleyball training is limited and the calculation of working hours for coaches is not conducted in a scientific way.4) Most of the teams are now employing a training mechanism which has relatively short time span and consequently can not make sure that the players have necessary training time.Training and study of the players can not be reasonably arranged.The players do not have enough chances to compete in competitions.5) The playground and equipments of most schools can basically meet the needs of the teams.6) The society does not have enough concern on the training and cultivation on the potential future volleyball players in Taiyuan city. In the meantime,the leaders at different level in the education system did not give enough attention to volleyball teams.7) The lack of volley team of high level in the province and the fact that there is no volleyball team in universities in Taiyuan city have led to the incompleteness in the training chain ranging from primaryschool,middle school to college.This directly results in the unsatisfying performance and competence of the teams in this city. Strategy for future development:1) Strengthen the efforts in developing the experimental schools. Emphasize development and popularizing at the same time.2) Enhance the coaching competence through more coach training program.3) Resolve the funding problem of volleyball teams by every possible fund-raising method. 4) Enhance the management on the training,learning and studying of the players so that they can develop in an all-round way.5) Change the notion of the leaders,strengthen the social awareness of volleyball and popularize the sports of volleyball to the public.6) Concentrate on the players' needs.Solve the problem of the clash of time between training and studying of players by the coordination of different units and apartments concerned.7) Organize more games of high level so that the players can improve their competence in virtual games.
