The Significance Of Feng Zikai's Thought Of Childlike Innocence On Education

Feng Zikai(1898-1975),a famous cartoonist and writer in China,has created lots of works whose themes are children.He has paid much attention to children,and he has tried to know more about what children are thinking.His recognition on childlike innocence is profound.In this paper,his recognition of children is called Feng Zikai's thought of childlike innocence.This paper consists of four parts.The first part begins with the concept of childlike innocence.In the second part,the author tries to make clear the cause of how Feng's thought of childlike innocence formed by tracing to the history source.There are three main causes:the thought on children of Wu Si Period,the educational ideal of Baima Lake writers,and the traditional cultural background of Feng.The next part is the education practice of Feng's thought.The most important part of this paper is the fouth part which elucidates the influence of Feng's thought of childlike innocence on education by analyzing Feng's works.The core of Feng's thought of childlike innocence is to pursue love,being natural and freedom that is just what education is pursuing.The last part is the conclusion which shows the influence of love,being natural and freedom on modern life.This paper strives to elucidate Feng's understanding about love, being natural and freedom of childlike innocence.The further aim is to dig out the significance of love,being natural and freedom of children's education.Childlike innocence,the nature of children,is the root of the children's lives.Meanwhile,it is the root of education,which gives education life and power.To realize the neglected childlike innocence is the way to cure the abnormal spirit of modern times.To call back childlike innocence is an educational method to refresh mankind's spirit. It is vital for us to realize the nature of mankind and form pure personality when we pass down the human being's culture and develop the knowledge and technology.However,it requires that education should wake up the primate power of childlike innocence.Only by doing this can all the children and adults own their spirit.
