| Mencius once said:"Honesty is the discipline of the nature why pursuing for Honesty and Faith is the basic requirement for being an upright person."A man with no honesty or faith is unreliable while a country with no rules will be in a mess. If all people are honest and faithful, then the relationship between human beings will be more harmonious. If all people comply with the rules, then they can be self-ruled. Honesty and faith are realized based on law while law is obeyed by people's honesty and faith. A society is actually driven forward by the two wheels of Honesty & Faith and Law. And we human beings are social animals to follow honesty and obeying law. In the history of human being's development, Honesty has always been playing a significant role. As the human beings sincerely and honestly consider the relationships between human and nature/ society/ others/ selfhood, then human could discover the disciplines of the nature, the society, interpersonal communication and self-development. Moreover, since human beings honestly and sincerely ponder and comprehend in their experience of survival and communication, and deal with the relationship between human and the disciplines, thus a set of rules and moral regulations were instituted gradually, which suited the development and productivity well. The excellent Chinese traditional culture passes down from generation to generation for thousands of years and then gradually spreads all over the world. Exploring the fundamental reason is that China is an excellent nation which has always been emphasizing honesty.Since China's reform and opening to build socialist market economy in 1970s, the politics, economy, culture and society in China have been changed profoundly. As the economy is growing prosperity, and culture is getting increasingly diversified, and the politics is becoming democratic, the transition from planned economy to market economy reflects a leap of working honestly in the planned economy society to getting on with others honestly in market economy society. However, as market economy has not been built for a long time in our country, the corresponding assessment system is not consummated, particularly the system of award and punishment. The nature of socialist market economy, which is credible and legal economy, still needs to be displayed further. The moral regulations on credit have also not improved. Dishonest phenomenon such as cheating and deceiving is common. Viewing from ideology, on one hand, people are praising sublimity, on the other hand, people still doubt the truth and value of sublimity. Viewing from behavior, in social practice, many people fails to keep consistent in their behavior and words. Viewing from politics, the loss of guideline for honesty and credit gradually shakes people's lofty faith.Generally speaking, the contemporary young college students in Military Academies are maintaining a relative better credit. Still there are some problems like incomplete understanding of honesty, peripheral realization of the relationship between faith and honesty and so on. These problems also caused that partial students fail to keep consistent in their behavior and words. Some directional students break their faith and some graduated students from Military Academies do not follow the school's dispatch. And there is lacking of credit in interpersonal communication. The military college students are the major backup force for national defense and military built. Whether this group of group of people can firmly insist to the faith of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics is coarsely related to the future and destiny of the country and minatory force. At the same time, it is also related to the students'own full-round development and future destiny. In 2004, the Education Ministry had issued Opinion on Further Improving and Intensifying University Student's Ideological and Political Education. In the opinion, it has determined the directive orientation that moral education is the foundation for ideological and political education while education on faith and ideality is the core for ideological and political education. The suggestion has offered an absolutely new direction for the faith education of military college students.Credit and faith of ideality is a dialectical unity: scientific faith of ideality inevitability contains credit while the practice of ideality is promoted by credit. As the foundation to reinforce military college student's faith of ideality, credit gets some scientific supports: to be honest and credible is the interior requirement for military college student to firm their belief of ideality; credit and moral help to standardize the college students'faith; also to be honest and credible is the essential requirement to cultivate and fulfill the soldiers'core value and realize the life value of the military college students. Moreover, it is also the successful experience in ideological and political education in our country. There are several reasons for the existence of unfaithfulness and dishonesty. firstly, the lower punishment on unfaithfulness and dishonesty becomes the breeding ground for it; secondly, the lagged traditional concept also take some impact; Thirdly, being influenced by Western extreme individualism; Fourthly, the errors in the education of lofty ideality and beliefs; fifth, non- clear moral attitude on the practice of lofty ideals and beliefs; sixthly, insufficient reward and punishment on the fulfillment of lofty ideality and beliefs; Lastly, limitations on ways of thinking and willpower.There are several countermeasures to reinforce the military college students'education of credit and honesty: first of all, accurately determine the students'qualities related to honesty for further training; secondly, improve and innovate the basic content of faithful education in Military Academies; thirdly, innovate the methods and approaches for faith education; fourthly, establish a sound evaluation system; Fifth, create a faithful atmosphere on campus; finally, cultivate a faculty with integrity.
