It has been a tendency and a main character to focus on developing the subjectivity of students since the twentieth century in worldwide educational innovation and development.As the most universal type of learning style and the uppermost learning form of knowledge,sign learning has great influence on developing students' subjectivity on knowledge-learning.Due to age,cognitive and psychological restricts,primary school students are difficult in their learning when there are so many abstract signs.It is especially necessary to cultivate the student how to transform the different signs in leaming and how to make sign learning more effective through interconverting with other learning styles.This paper aims at making clear the importance of developing students' lifelong capability of learning in compulsory education The author attempts to do a systematic formulation on the process,values and limitations of sign learning by literature analysis. Moreover,a cooperative and interactive approach of observing students' sign learning procedure and discussing the phenomena with primary school teachers is applied to describe the contents,approaches and complementary instruments,and summarize some underlying disciplines and to provide both teachers and students some theoretical reference in practice.
