The Status Quo Of High School Teaching Of Ancient Poetry And Essay With Strategies To Improve It In The Context Of The "New Curriculum Reform"

At the beginning of the 21st century, a new round of curriculum reform in basic education carried out on the full swing. This is the eighth time in basic education curriculum reform,and it is also the largest since the founding of the first. In the "New Curriculum Reform" background, the objective of high school language courses designed from the three aspects, "knowledge and ability to process and methods, emotional attitudes and values," focuses on the improving of students'overall quality in Chinese. Students bear the responsibility of transmissing Chinese civilization.The Ancient Poetry and Essay is the main carrier of Chinese civilization, so the teaching of Ancient Poetry and Essay is very important.In this thesis, I intend to study in two dimensions:"interests and methods of learning"and"teaching and evaluation in classroom".I will analyze each dimension in these three terms: Gender differences in students, Subject differences in students and inter-school differences in students,in order to get a clear understanding of the current high school status of the teaching of Ancient Poetry and Essay.On this basis, I will sum up the problems of current high school teaching of Ancient Poetry and Essay, and give strategies to improve it,in order to do some help. The main part of this thesis is divided into three chapters:Chapterâ… explains the basic theories of high school teaching of Ancient Poetry and Essay,and takes these as starting points of my research.Chapter II is a survey with analysis of high school teaching of Ancient Poetry and Essay. Survey questionnaire is the main means for research,and interviews with teachers and classroom observation are supporting means, with analysis of the results of the investigation, I will find the problems of the current high school teaching of Ancient Poetry and Essay.The survey results will provide me a good background to look for targeted strategies.Chapter III will give strategies to improve the high school teaching of Ancient Poetry and Essay based on the problems we have found.
