Research On Change In The Themes Of Teacher Education Research (1979-2008)

In the late 20th century and the early 21st century, Chinese Education field came to the new term of Teacher Education. Teacher Education is the developing of normal education in new century. The character of teacher education is continuity between cultivation and training. It is the change of normal education. There were so many articles about teacher education during the past 30 years of reform and opening. These articles paid attention to themes at that time and displayed the developing way of teacher education research. If we research the themes of teacher education research, we can find the change of themes about teacher education research and find the problems in it. It can promote scientific of documentary information management and offer enlightenment and facilities for the prospective scholars by quantitative study.This article statistic the themes of articles about teacher education research in four magazines after 1979, which are(1979-2008)(1979-2008)< The In-service Education and Training of School Teachers>(1984-2008)(1989-2008). It divided the past 30 years of reform and opening into five times by analysis and summary the articles' themes of teacher education research. The five times are the time of normal educational research rectifying and recovery(1979-1983), the time of research about teachers academic training(1984-1987), the time of research about teacher academic target achieved and further education beginning(1988-1996), the time of research about further education developing rapidly(1997-2001), the time of research about teacher specialization(2002-2008).Basing on this foundation, the article brings forward times features about research history of teacher education after reform and opening. It analyses the relation between themes changing and society and policy developing. There are three problems in teacher education researching, which are induction training researching is weak, teacher professional morality researching must be enhanced, teacher education researching of countryside, mountainous district and national minority is not enough.
