The driving force of national strength relies on university students whose morality shoulder the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Therefore, discussions on university students's moral belief education will help to enhance university's moral education, and achieve further improvement in the moral standard of university students.This article consists of four parts. The first part mainly begins with the definition and features of moral belief, followed by the analysis of its roots and conversion. It is worth mentioning that defining the education of moral belief lays emphasis on breeding belief ascending from the cognition of moral standard. The second part mainly explores the current situation and a series of primary issues related. In the course of exploration, the followings are mentioned. The theory of Pragmatism, market economy as well as multi-principles of ethics applied in teaching gives the impetus to moral education in colleges and universities throughout China. On the other hand, moral education has its own drawbacks, such as a lack of unity and coherence of teaching targets; the simplicity of offering curriculum; the instillation of concept with overwhelmingly political orientation; and cognitive deviation of belief, and so forth. The third part probes into the improvement of the teaching effects in moral education in higher education. The fourth part presents the principles and ways that contemporary Chinese moral education in schools of higher learning must adhere to.
