A Research On Volleyball Games Of High School Students In Yongzhou District

recent years,volleyball games gre getting steadily worse in Yongzhou of Hunan province,e.g.teams of volleyball games and the amount of students playing this game have been decreasing in many high schools,even in some experimental units.This paper made a survey on this situation through interviews,questionnaires,statistics and logical-analysis.The samples of this survey are:age,academic background,mojor,teaching condition of the PE teacher;the field and equipments,the class hour,grade,teaching attitude,teaching manners,assessment,and students'interests on volleyball games.Next,this paper made some constructive suggestions.First,PE teachers should use more teaching manners to raise student's interests,such as,using videos in teaching.Second,volleyball game associations in high schools should be promoted.Third,students should get more guides on extracurricular volleyball games from their teachers.Finally,there should be more communication on villeyball games between high schools.In the end,there comes out some conclusions.First,there has a reasonable academic background of high school PE teachers with young ages in Yongzhou,but there is a lack of specialized budget on volleyball game teaching,and teachers take heavy workload with very low salaries.Next,it is very short of in-door teaching fields and equipments in high schools in Yongzhou,and also,there is a very low utility rate of existing equipments.Third,only 51%high schools in Yongzhou open volleyball game teaching class,with monotonous teaching manners and low teaching interests,the assessment doesn't keep the pace with teaching reform.Finally,to some extent,lack of teachers' guide on extracurricular volleyball games,short of volleyball game associations and amateur volleyball teams result in small amount students chosen volleyball in extracurricular sports activities.
