This thesis research on more than one thousand middle school students and forty middle school PE teachers in Beijing,using the methods of documentary,questionnaire,interview,data analysis,logic analysis. The thesis carry through a comparatively complete and deep research on the situation of Olympic education in middle schools in Beijing,and take a comprehensive,thorough,careful diagnosis on some core questions such as the basic situation of the master of knowledge about Olympic education, the source of the accepts the Olympic information,the factors which affect the students to accept the Olympic education.The findings indicate:1,The situation of Olympic education popularization in general middle school is not very optimism,within the 28 middle schools investigated, only one school has taken the Olympic education curriculum.2,The middle-school students grasp well to the general knowledge of Olympic Games,but only pause into the Olympic Games star and in the general sports program,and lack of the Olympic Games knowledge into the depth and the breadth.3,the investigation of the middle-school students' attitude about participation into Olympic Games indicate that,the middle-school students' desire for the Olympic knowledge are quite intensely,their attentions to the preparation to 2008 Beijing Olympic Games are to be higher,and display their strong interests to be a Olympic Games volunteer.4,The investigation to the source of the middle-school students Obtains the Olympics knowledge demonstrate that,at present,students mainly achieve Olympic knowledge through television,network and so on,but through the sports curriculum which opens by the school obviously to be insufficient. 5,The lacks of Olympic teaching material is a important factor restricts the young people to accept the Olympic education.6,The secondary education were throughout occupied under the test shadow, the students suffer from a high pressure of entry to a higher school, and they must withstand the heavy study burden everyday.In this kind of situation,the school and the family are insufficiently think much of the sports discipline,therefore,the students also take little consideration to the Olympic knowledge.In view of the present situation of middle-school students' Olympic education in Beijing,the author proposed some essential countermeasures to enhance the Olympic education to middle-school students in Beijing, such as,the school leaders should transform their education conception, strengthen the understanding about the importance of Olympic education, strengthen the teachers' troop,strengthen the compile and renewal of the Olympics teaching material,launch humanities Olympic research,and initiate the positive life style.
