17 matches were selected for the research of this paper.Through this research we could analyse the feature of skills and tactics of world top professional women tennis players on hard court,and acknowledge of the the direction of future development,and for the purpose of helping Chinese women tennis players ready for 2008 Olympic game in Beijing as well.In this paper,documents,interviews,video watching and statistics research methods were used.Research focus on the points below:the relationship between the types of court and the practices of skills and tactics;features of the practices of skills and tactics;features of the practices of skills and tactics on different areas;the trends of future women tennis development,we can conclude from this paper that:The feature of the construction of basic competitive unit is that 47% points were finished after 3 racquets;only 20%points are still left after 7 racquets.The feature of skill practice is:forehand＞backhand＞service＞service return,compared with male players,the ration of the frequency of forehand and backhand are more similar for women.The primary winning skills are service forehand and backhand;and the primary losing skills are service return forehand and back hand.Strength,speed,rhythm,changement are important factors influence the direction of tennis development of professional woman tennis players.Based on velocity,service need more rotation and change on spot;and service returning is more aggressive and accurate;the concept of attacking is reinforced;baseline style will be majority for a long time...
