Objectives: To investigate and compare the nutritional status of Mulao and Dong nationality, to develop health instruction and provide science data for nutritional intervention by mean of living body nutritional indexes on the Mulao and Dong nationality primary and middle school students in Guangxi .Methods: The samples were randomly chosen from the primary and middle school students of Mulao and Dong nationality in Guangxi, aged from 7 to 16 years old by cluster sampling .The indexes for example stature and weight was performed according to the methods of Shao Xiang-Qing. The nutritional indexes were set up a databank on computer and the data were analyzed by SPSS13.0.Results:â‘ The rate of low-weight and malnutrition of the girls is significantly higher than the boys' of Mulao and Dong nationality primary and middle school students in Guangxi .â‘¡The abnormal period of nutritional status of Mulao and Dong nationality primary and middle school students is adolescence .â‘¢The serious period of low-weight and malnutrition rate of Mulao nationality girls is the slow growth phase of adolescence, and the serious period of overweight and obese rate is the rapid and slow growth phase of adolescence. The statistical diversity of Mulao nationality boys' nutritional status in the three development phases were not. The serious period of low-weight and malnutrition rate of Dong nationality girls and boys is the slow growth phase of adolescence, and the serious period of overweight and obese rate of boys is the rapid growth phase of adolescence. The statistical diversity of overweight and obese rate of Dong nationality girls in the three development phases were not.â‘£Compare the nutritional status between Mulao and Dong nationality: the low-weight and malnutrition rate of Mulao nationality girls was higher than Dong nationality's, others were not statistically significant.Conclusion: The low-weight and malnutrition remain existence in Mulao and Dong nationality primary and middle school students in Guangxi, and the rate of the low-weight and malnutrition are variable in sex, age and different development phases. Meanwhile the phenomenon of overweight and obesity is arisen. The rate of each nutritional status is different between Mulao and Dong nationality primary and middle school students.
