With the new round of mathematics curriculum reform, The new methods of mathematics learning become more and more, bringing some profound changes, particularly the mathematics inquiry learning. This paper, based on the perspective of mathematical knowledge, discussed the theory and practice of mathematics inquiry learning. It analyzed the feasibility of the mathematics inquiry learning by studying the meaning of mathematical knowledge and its characteristics, and on the base making some ways for it.This paper had been divided into six parts:The first part, introduction. It introduced the background of this study, elaborating the global researches about the mathematics inquiry learning, and pointing out the results and lack of these researches, as well as the inspiration on this subject. It also introduced the ideas and methods of this subject. The second part, the meaning of mathematical knowledge and its characteristics. Clarify the meaning of mathematical knowledge, as well as the development of mathematical knowledge. And then sum up the characteristics of it. They are: empirical, intuitive, tacit, and dynamic nature. The third part, discussed the feasibility of the mathematics inquiry learning. After clearing the meaning and characteristics of the mathematics inquiry learning, based on the analysis of mathematical knowledge, explore how to carry out the mathematical inquiry learning. The fourth part, the specific ways of the mathematical inquiry learning. They are: from the straightforward abstract to the issue of situation; from one-way monologue of teachers to two-way listening between teachers and students; from the strict logic of mathematical reasoning to emotional intuition; from the mechanical teaching to the experiment of the mathematical model. The fifth part ,the cases and reflection .Based on the given cases, reflect the mathematical inquiry learning .It described that the mathematical inquiry learning can not be carried out blindly, showing that probing the mathematical inquiry learning on the perspective of mathematical knowledge is very important and rationally. Part VI, conclusion. Sum up the conclusion of this study and the problems, and propose further thoughts and studies on this subject.
