The development of society relies on education. On the other hand, the development of education should constantly adapt to the progress of society. In the beginning of 21st century, china is starting a new round of curriculum reform. Aiming at the issue that training of creative thinking for students is ignored in China, the new curriculum reform and new teaching materials have a "high point" and that is inquiry learning. Based on inquiry learning, inquiry teaching emphasizes student's participation and experience and carries out teaching activities which under the guidance of teachers. Those activities have exploratory and certain creative. Inquiry teaching is an important mean for developing student's personality, bringing up their innovation abilities and co-operative spirit and improving their overall quality. Current inquiry teaching theory has a strong theoretical. Many front-line teachers have not an accurate understanding of inquiry teaching and they are lack of study of the problems encountered in teaching practice. Thus, theory cannot well guide practice. Current inquiry teaching has been mostly problem-solving to explore, for the concept of class and mathematical thinking to explore small, but almost blank for the study of analysis and evaluation of students.To address the above problems, this study did three aspects of work as below:First, on the basis of reading a lot of literatures which are relate to mathematics inquiry learning, elaborate the theoretical basis of inquiry teaching of psychology and education science, also the principle of implementation.Second, combine teaching materials and explore the strategies of selecting materials, teaching and assessment which have strong operability in actual teaching.Third, after the implementation, reflect the effects and form relevant theoretical results.Studies have shown that, mathematics inquiry learning based on classroom and teaching materials is deeply welcomed by the students. Through the evident result of actual teaching, it has a positive role in developing student's abilities of observing, finding and solving math problems. It also can build up co-operative ability and establish a correct science and world view. At the same time, this study also fully aware of certain limitations of mathematics inquiry learning. So we recommend that in the actual teaching, teachers should prevent one-sided understanding and emphasis for mathematics inquiry learning and should not adopt a laissez faire attitude.
