In 2014,the Ministry of Education officially issued the "Opinions on comprehensively deepening the curriculum reform and implementing the fundamental task of strength moral education and cultivate people".The paper points out that the educational reform based on students' core competence gradually attracts global attention.The core competence of mathematics does not refer to any specific mathematical knowledge.The core competence of mathematics indicates the comprehensive ability based on mathematical knowledge and skills but is higher than specific mathematical knowledge and skills.The six core competencies of mathematics are mathematical ion,mathematical reasoning,mathematical modeling,intuitive imagination,mathematical operation.and data analysis.These six competencies are manifested in four aspects,"situation and question","knowledge and skill","thinking and expression",and"communication and introspection".Generally,these four aspects are the dimensions to assess the level of core competence.In order to promote students' mathematical competencies,the ability of inquiry-based learning is necessary.The Beijing Normal University edition of the mathematics textbook gives high priority to cultivate students' various abilities,the ability to understand,the ability to create a situation,the ability to ask questions,the ability to operate,and the ability to inquiry-based learning.Therefore,it is particularly important to cultivate students' ability of inquiry-based learning from primary school.This paper explored the methods and operations of cultivating and improving students'ability of inquiry-based learning in terms of the four aspects,"situation and problem","knowledge and skills","thinking and expression".and "communication and reflection."These methods include the practice of the school-based curriculum,classroom setting,homework setting,family-school communication,etc.Some researches prove that these 4 methods can cultivate and enhance students' ability of inquiry-based learning.To comprehensively,thoroughly,implement and develop the quality education,we must blend mathematical competencies into everyday mathematics teaching by cultivating tudents' ability of inquiry-based learning.The inquiry-based learning of mathematics is not a separate course.By blending it into the course design,the selection of teaching methods,and the creation of a mathematics curriculum,to explore a more efficient teaching strategy,to enable students to consciously learn the method of inquiry-based learning.Eventually,it will be internalized into their lifelong learning methods,and get benefit continuously.
