Everything both has two different sides to its nature, so does online games; but people often focus on its negative effects, while ignoring its potential educational value, we can only see kids' depravation when they are addicted to online games, and pay no attentions to improving many kinds of children's abilities, perhaps we should find a new way in definitions: Why online games are so attractive for kids? In recent years, with the continual emergence of the form of teaching by gaming, some experts and scholars began to confront the online games and introduce the idea of integration of education and games, some educational games have also been used for teaching and learning. Educators hope to create a pleasant learning environment in which they immersed them to experience the fun of learning for students in the form of games, which can really achieve the goal of "learning in fun", the "educational game" came into being. Game production and teaching are two relatively independent areas; game developers don't have a good understanding of educational philosophy, educators have very poor games development capacity, so there is not a perfect educational game now.The educational game itself makes a function combination of education and learning, which implicate the educational value. For the learner it can create a new type of learning and a new way of emotional experience. Mining emotional experience in the educational game can provide guidance to the application of educational games, which is becoming a new topic in the future.In this paper, we summed up the study status of educational games at home and abroad based on reading a great number of literatures, made a full understanding and grasp in the brand new field of education games. Then, we define the basic concepts of educational games, make an analysis of the characteristics, classification and educational value of educational games, a detailed overview of the educational games has been done; we also introduced the necessity and importance of emotional experience and emotional education, made a full analysis of classification, characteristics of emotional experience factors in educational games, we found that the study of cognitive and emotional in the field of education can give an inspiration to the design of educational games. In the paper we identified and analyze emotional experience factors in educational games, and based on this, summed up a set of design strategy and related emotional engineering technology of emotional experience in education games.In order to verify the effectiveness of using educational games to learn, we use a typical educational game named "Learning from LeiFeng". In practice, we also found some questions which are worth of thinking about.In this paper, we made a full analysis of emotional experience factors in games. Through the survey based on actual research data and the relevant education and teaching theory, we develop an actual game case; according to the application status investigation of game case we will put forward some better measures to improve it.
