Research On The Vocational Value Of Physical Education Students In Hubei Province Colleges

Based on the modified Super Work Value Inventory(WVI) made by Ning Wei-Wei(1992),the Vocational values of the Physical Education Specialty students in Hubei province, have been researched, and their attitude to careers have been investigated in this article.About 739 college students from seven representative colleges located in Hubei province have been selected for this research. Analyzed and discussed the differences and characteristics of their vocational values according to the different institutions, the different personal background etc. Then analysis their vocational value and career attitude on the whole.The results showed that: In general, the physical education major college students the most important "intrinsic value", followed by the "extrinsic rewards" and "extrinsic value", their vocational values are positive. Wuhan Institute of Physical Education and Teachers colleges major Physical Education students at "intrinsic value" dimension values have significant differences .The value of Wuhan Institute of Physical Education and Normal Colleges scale ranked quite consistently, but at"stimulating intellectual"on the value scale was significantly different. As a whole analysis the values of physical education major college students, we found that the top 5 most important vocational value scale: the relationship between colleagues, achievements, lifestyle, independence, altruism. And compared the results of previous studies, a clear continuity, but also there have been some changes, these changes must at a certain degree reflect the changes of the social environment .Contemporary students of physical education major attached importance to achievements and colleagues at specific value scale. Through the study of gender, grade, family background, political outlook, the group of university students physical education major at the performance measure of value on the characteristics and differences. Found that gender, grade, family background, political outlook, as well as some group of students at certain values of the scale there is a significant difference. We found that some significant difference at certain values between the different gender, family background, political outlook.Through the study of physical education major at University Students on the characteristics of the mentality of career , we found that contemporary college students of physical education major career more pragmatic attitude, but also by the lack of self-confidence.
