The Physical Education and Health Curriculum Standard (Experimental draft), which is named the New Curriculum Standard, was put into trial use in September 2001. The guiding idea that health should be put in the first place was determined in the New Curriculum Standard, which shows the direction of our carrying out Physical Education at school.For a long time, athletic material is the main source in the national curriculum system. However, the speciality of students at primary or middle school who are growing and building their bodies and mind has been ignored in the implementation of the curriculum, which is caused by the classification of athletic skills, the specialization of instruments for adults, and the satndardization of regulations. At the same time, the physical differences among students and their interests and hobbies are also ignored. As a result, students'activity in learning P.E. is influnced to a degree. The activity that used to be pleasant now is turned into students'last choice.With the development of the time, some newly developing sports abroad is flowing into China. At the same time, our national sports is growing as well. These materials offer plenty of contents of school physical education, which is a shock to the athletic materials in the former physically educational system.It can be seen that during the development of the curriculum system, athletic material meets some trouble. It is going through more serious challenges than ever.How to transform the athletic material properly to make it meet students'demand and confirm its position in the curriculum system has become an emergent problem.Thus, how to realize the traformation of athletic material according to the curriculum standard is an important topic for us who work on physical education.In this dissertation, the means of literature research, interviews with experts, questionnaire, mathematical statistics and logical analysis are used for further study. The concepts, principles and methods of transformation of athletic materials are presented on the theoretical level. I draw the following conclusions through research.4.1.1 In the System of curriculum, the obstacles are posed when the students conducting sports activities by sophistication of the technique of athletic materials, formalization of the rules, standardization of the site and equipment.4.1.2 The concepts that"for health, promoting physical growth of students","Stimulating interest, to form lifelong sports concepts","ensuring the dominant position of students","emphasizing the differences, to respect every individual's differences"should be adhered to in transformation of athletic materials .4.1.3 The requirements for transformation of athletic materials are to back it to basics, to return it to the life itself, to put education in amusement and to adhere to carry it out as playing games.4.1.4 The transformation of athletic materials should follow the principles, such as sports fitness principle, effectiveness principle, the principle of basis on practice and reality, scientific principle, the principle of interests and the principle of education.4.1.5 The transformation of athletic materials is asked to reconstruct and improve the difficulty of action, the rules of the competition, exercise equipments and facilities and exercise intensity.
