In our daily teaching practice, we will meet the problem of the teaching of concepts. Mathematical concept is the beginnning of math studies and the foundation of mathematical deduction and judgement which will lay solid basis for the introduction of many principles and rules, thus it is the first step in forming a mathematical way of thinking. Line on separate faces is a very important point in math studies in senior high school because it is the basis of solid geometry. Because of students'lack of theoretical reasoning experience and background knowledge and of intuitive judging and imaginative capability. So often high school students can not read graphics, even if the graphics can not be understood skilled with graphics to explain the title of Italy, can not be fluent in the application of justice, the issue of theorem proving to solve the issue of practical application. Students are often anxious because of three-dimensional geometry.The current study shows that students learn mathematical concepts determine the acceptability of different straight-line surface quality of the concept of learning, the concept of learning depends on correct guidance of teachers in student learning reflected in the issue of counter-productive as well as teaching practice in teachers.The author chooses the topic on the research of senior high school students'understanding of lines on separate faces through reading a large quantity of reference books and exploring the development of mathematical concepts domestic and braod.The thesis will make use of APOS theory, Through self-questionnaire of Changchun City, the three Senior Schools'501 Senior School students tested, And statistical software SPSS13.0, Senior School students studied the concept of the different level of understanding straight face, and for major problems, given the teaching strategies to solve the problem. Mainly through the analysis of these issues, research, lessons learned to guide teaching. And draw the following conclusions:â…°.The perception of lines on separate faces varies between male and female students. This difference is due to different individual's cognitive style.â…±.The spacial imagination greatly influences the understanding of lines on separate faces, so it is the key to solving problems with the concept of lines on separate faces.â…².Characterization ability and will influence the development of high-level mathematical concepts. The students with high spacial imaginative ability and characterization ability will better understand the concept which will in turn increase characterization ability.
