Based on the research findings about problem representation and combined with the characteristic of physics instruction ,we make a experimental research on the difference of Physics problem representation between the top students and the secondary students of high school.we secelet some high school students as experimental subjects and adopt some physics problems of high school as experimental tasks,then we make a contrast between the two kinds of subject about four aspects of physics problem representation. By using quantitative and qualitative analysis of oral reports and cognitive tasks of the experimental subjects,we arrive at four conclusions and those are as follows:1. The top students are better at in identifying information implied in physics problems,compared with the secondary students.2. the top students are better at in transforming outer structure of physics problems,compred with the secondary students.3. No distinct difference appears between the top students and the secondary students when they distinguish the type of the problems,but after that the former can convert a kind of problem representation into another more swiftly .4. The top students are inclined to form scientific representation of the problem more easily than the secondary students.According to the above experimental conclusions,we pud forward some suggestions on how to improve students' ability to represent physics problem.
