With the educational reform going deeply,the concept to focus on developing students' problem-solving ability is increasingly popular.The ability of physics problem-solving includes not only dealing with physical exercises,but also solving practical physics problems.Research shows that the ability of middle school students to solve practical problems is very weak nowadays.Many students can do well in physical exercises,but they are often helpless while facing practical physics problems.Scholars have done some research on ability of middle school students' physics problem-solving,but it is still not deep enough.In order to understand the current situation and shortcomings of physics problem-solving ability,this paper chooses the Original Physics Problem as measurement tool,and takes the problem representation as the starting point,studying the problem representation level of middle school students to solve the original physics problem.The research is discussing about:(1)We designed a test paper on Original Physics Problems and the grading criteria to evaluate the level of problem representation.According to the content in compulsory course,the author designed the test paper by consulting data and revising physics problems.Basing on the Self-Organization Representative Theory,the author also designed the grading criteria to evaluate the level of problem representation.(2)The implementation of a questionnaire survey of high school students.In the first high school of Zhangzhou,the author conducted questionnaire of the Original Physics Problem in senior two and senior three.According to the Self-Organization Representative Theory,this paper finally comes to relevant conclusions after analyzing and comparing the result of the questionnaire.The results show that:?the problem presentation level of high school students to solve the Original Physics Problem is in the medium level.? the problem presentation level of physical modeling is better than that of dealing with exercise.? the problem presentation level of boys is closed to girls'.Gender difference is not significant.?it is difficult for students to break through the inherent thinking mode of dealing with physical exercises,which makes a huge obstacle for students to solve the Original Physics Problem.After comprehensive analysis,this paper concludes that low level of problem presentation and stubborn thinking in problem-solving are the main reasons for students'not doing well in physics problem-solving.They lead to students' weak ability in physics problem-solving.
