Pan Maoyuan once pointed out: everything has its own structure, and the relationship between quantity and quality often plays its roles through structure. Similarly, whether higher education can achieve its three major functions depends largely on its structure, while the structure of subjects and majors is the core component in the higher education structure. Therefore, fundamentally speaking, the structure of subjects and majors directly determines the quality of higher education and the ability of serving for the society. It is proved by Practice that reasonable structure of subjects and majors can not only cultivate talents needed by the society, but also promote the development of social economy; on the contrary, unreasonable structure will influence on the development of social economy. Thus, studying the current situation of subjects and majors in Inner Mongolian higher education is of great practical significance.In this paper, we have mastered the quantities of the subjects and majors in the undergraduate course and special course of autonomous region and their distributions, and the situation of the key majors and key laboratories by collecting a large number of datum and practical research. On the basis of that, the distribution table of key subjects (key laboratory) and the situation form of the undergraduate course and special course are organized in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. According to the abstract statistics in Inner Mongolia, Inner Mongolian Statistical Yearbook, and China Statistical Yearbook ,I drew up proportion table from 2001 to 2007 and its tendency chart of enrollment number in Inner Mongolian sub-subject and the graduates number and students number at school,and the relevant table between Inner Mongolian industry structure and major formation of the recruitment in our regional ordinary undergraduate university from 2001 to 2007,and the relevant form of 2001-2007 between Inner Mongolian employment structure and our regional subject structure of graduates from undergraduate school and special school in ordinary higher university, and I have mastered the detailed datum of the structure of subjects and majors in Inner Mongolia higher education.On the basis of mastering date , the full text focuses on the structure of subjects and majors in Inner Mongolia higher education , the paper is divided into three parts. The first part elaborates the structure of subjects and majors in Inner Mongolia higher education, which analyzes some aspects of the status quo of the professional disciplines of higher education in Inner Mongolia mainly from the key disciplines, key laboratories, the status of the undergraduate course and special course, basic disciplines and applied sciences, arts and science disciplines, and so on; the second part is the coordination analysis of interdisciplinary professional structure and the economic structure of Inner Mongolia, which mainly analyses the coordination of the professional disciplines from Inner Mongolia and Inner Mongolian industrial structure, employment structure, the structure of labor and technical aspects ,and points out problems and lacking in Inner Mongolia-disciplinary professional structure of higher education ,and provides foundations for the research; the third part is the analysis of the reason and countermeasures. There are both historical reasons and practical reasons, and both external causes of education and their own reasons for education at the analysis of the reasons. Three countermeasures are raised against problems of my professional structure of the district discipline, which adjust the structure of professional disciplines in accordance with the socio-economic development and industrial structure Change, which demands colleges and universities taking the initiative to strengthen the building of professional disciplines, and the government's macroeconomic management being combined with self-regulating of colleges and universities.
