Since the end of the 20th century, academic anomie, academic misconduct and academic corruption cases happened frequently at Universities, and even well-known University scholars' involved "suspected of academic fraud" cases, have aroused wide attention from all sectors of society. Academic transgressions and a series of questions about academic transgressions have the rapidly spread and highly corrosion features in academia, so University scholars' professional image has been declining, and the whole academia's academic reputation has been losing. Therefore, for purifying the academic air, improving the academic quality and maintaining the academic's ecological balance, it's very important to criticize and reflect about academic transgressions based on the academic reputation. We have to face such important academic questions.The Academic Community gives recognition and respect to University scholars for their contribution about in the promotion and development of knowledge. This is the connotation of academic reputation. Only to be recognized by the Academic Community, University scholars' inquisitive spirit and occupational survive needs can only be met. In other words, the academic reputation is a key to maintain life-long academic career and sustainable development for University scholars. This thesis mainly uses the literature research method and multidisciplinary perspective method. Based on the theories of scientific community's normative structure theory and social control theory, there are two ways to improve the academic transgressions: first, University scholars must assume academic responsibility; second, the government, social and universities must perfect social control of academic transgressions. Specific analysis as follows:Promote the positive functions of academic reputation. Academic reputation is the university academics' soul, and the academic environment's "clean agents." If the academic environment can not be purified, there are not any effects about academictransgressions' solution and improvement——it only can be described as a "castle inthe air." At the same time, the academia should advocate academic equality, so as to avoid the academic reputation to evolve into the excellent University scholars' demands benefits.Exert a role of internalization of academic responsibility. Academic responsibility is the University scholars' core basic and moral conscience. Academic responsibility requires University scholars improving academic integrity, strengthening academic conscience and promoting moral practices. At the same time, it should pay attention to the relationship between academic freedom and academic responsibility to ensure University scholars can make a reasonable evaluation and choice, even when they at a variety of confusion on academic freedom.Perfect the system protection of society control. Social control is an institutionalized bound system, and it can prevent, correct and punish the University scholars' academic misconducts. There are four forms of social control, such as Academic Community's control, Organization Control, Legal Control and Public Control. At the same time, the academic autonomy of universities should be promoted so as to avoid social control to curb University scholars' enthusiasm and creative in academic research.
