With the rising of virtual learning communities such as teacher professional development platforms, the communication and collaboration of teacher groups in virtual learning communities turn to be a new form of professional teacher development based on network. It can resolve the temporal and spatial isolation between education experts and teachers neatly when they are communicating. It can also meet with the demand of teachers' professional development. What are the main elements affecting teachers' participation on communication activities? What are the dynamic mechanisms of teacher professional development on the line? And what role do they play in during the process of teacher professional development? All these are the questions what we need to discuss and research deeply. Therefore, this paper mainly discussing professional development of teacher group based on network.This paper will provide a new thought for teacher professional development under network environment. It includes four stages in this study.In the first stage, the relevant literature on theoretical and practice issues about teacher professional development, teacher professional development under network environment, the current situation and developing trend of teacher professional development under network environment at home and abroad are reviewed in order to find the jump-off of the study. Theories of group dynamics, teacher professional development under the direction of ecological and learning and community, and inspiration to this research from the three theories are expounded to provide theoretical basis for this research.In the second stage, based on the learning and researches on the theory of group dynamics, and combined with the theory of professional development of teachers under the direction of ecological and the theory of learning community, we choose several research methods such as literature research, interviews and surveys to analysis the main factors that effecting network-based teacher group professional development. According these main factors, a theoretical group dynamics model of teacher professional development is constructed initially.In the third stage, in order to verify the effectiveness of group dynamic mechanism of teacher professional development based on network, some practice and application cases have been done in the Regional Platform for Teacher Professional Development of Yongkang that developed based on the technology of web2.0. According to the practices, we propose some corresponding guidance strategies for teacher groups' professional development based on network. It has a certain significance to promote the research and practice on the strategies and method of teacher groups' professional development based on network.On the basis of the above researches, conclusions this paper has received are as follows:(1) The four main factors that are external environment, teacher groups, teacher himself and the platform, all have great influence to teacher group professional development based on network, and the factor of teacher groups have the greatest influence to teacher group professional development based on network.(2) The four important group dynamic mechanisms of teacher groups' professional development are: The mechanism of knowledge sharing and construction of cooperative atmosphere, the mechanism of role assignment and cooperation of teacher members in a group, the mechanism of appropriate motivation and harmonious competition, and the mechanism of constraint of regulations or rules anddevelopmental evaluation.(3) By analyzing some practice and application cases in the Regional Platform for Teacher Groups' Professional Development that developed based on the technology of web2.0. Several research methods such interviews and questionnaires are used and verified that the four mechanisms can be the facilitation in the process of teacher groups' professional development indeed.
