On the background of new curriculum reform, how to carry out school-based teaching and research effectively and how to promote teacher professional development have become an important subject to promote sustainable development of teacher and school. Focusing the teaching and research of new curriculum on school, school-based teaching and research is a research activity, intending to solve the concrete problems of school in its new curriculum reform, taking school teachers as its research subject, and promoting teacher professional development and student development in a healthy, active and all-round way.The present research, choosing LLYX as a case and using depth interview, literature-analyzing and spot observation as its research method, on the basis of the experiences of the school in the aspects of school-based teaching and research and teacher professional development, aims at doing research on how to carry out school-based teaching and research effectively to promote teacher professional development, how teacher professional development promoting the high quality of school-based teaching and research and the centres and the ways of the interactiveness between teacher professional development and school-based teaching and research.An in-depth thinking on the interactiveness between school-based teaching and research and teacher professional development has been conducted—Strengthen the role of school-based teaching and research in promoting the teachers' professional growth; focusing on the improvement of classroom teaching is the key and the centre of the interactiveness between school-based teaching and research and teacher professional development; school-based training should be implemented to improve teacher professional level; Strengthen school-based training to enhance the professionalism of teachers across-the-board; Motivate the demand for self-improvement of all the faculty;self-reflection, peer coaching and proper professional guidance are the three basic items of the interactiveness between school-based teaching and research and teacher professional development; pushing on school-based teaching and research makes each teacher a practitioner as well as a researcher.Some problems existed in the course of the interactiveness between school-based teaching and research and teacher professional development can be concluded as the following: teacher having too much burden; teacher not having a strong awareness of the problems; school suffering too much interference, etc. Based on these problems, the present researcher puts forward the following suggestions: school-based teaching and research should closely centre on the problems existed in classroom teaching and the measures for improvement; school-based teaching and research should give full play to the principal role, the initiatives and the creativity of teacher; the proper course guidance of headmaster and leading teacher in the school-based teaching and research should be brought into play; the model of school-based teaching and research should be geared to the actual circumstances of school; the system for teacher to carry out school-based teaching and research should be guaranteed.
