Research On Correlation Between University Student's Independency Development And Parental Rearing Mode

The independency of human being means the non-adherent personality or the independent state of each man whom does not attach his personality to someone else or to a certain group. It's a psychological quality that not easily being affected by secondary causes; The development of independency is not only a major issue for juvenescent phase but also a key factor to influence the college student's mental health, study and human communication when they are in the college , furthermore, it has deep influence on working and social adjustment for each one after their graduation.Parents' rearing mode is a behavior tendency which displayed during the educational or fostering routine also is a composite reflection of their educational ideas and actions. The research of many scholars proved that parent's rearing mode has great influence among individual socialization, personality development, self-respect, mental health and self-concept, ect.In order to understand the connotation and existing situation of college students' independence development, and to analyze the relation between development level and their parents' rearing mode, also, to provide theory foundation for the study of college students' personality development and mental health, this research adopted MEBU and Independency Questionnaire answered by 380 college students, and finally we have these following conclusions:1. The college students' independency situation lies in middle level, and there is no sex difference of it. However, there are some obvious discrepancy on certain elements of independency among the students in different major and grade.2. Through the analysis of parents' rearing mode, we can tell the warm emotion and understanding have a remarkable positive influence on college students' independency development but a father's interfere has the negative side.3. Obviously, the parent's rearing mode has a certain influence on the student's independency development, but independency is a formation of multilayer and multi-elements which are varied, including college education and social culture. We need to highly valued the influence of family education, also need to bring out the college education's positive guidance, above all it is to encourage and advocate them to have self-educate.
