The Constructing And Implementing Of Curricular System For Physical Education In Chinese Universities And Colleges

The Constructing of Curricular System of Physical Education in Chinese universities and colleges is a systematic project. It is both an important act for deepening renovation in education and teaching and a necessary means for cultivating professionals. It is both a need for implementing the educational policies in schools and the purpose of the new Physical Education (and Health) Curriculum Standard (that is Health First). t is also a necessity for Fitness for All Outlines, Physical education in schools and Sunny sports. Developing, implementing and popularizing activities of physical education and art in Chinese Universities and colleges are beneficial for Chinese undergraduate students and campus culture in universities and colleges.Using researching methods of documents, investigation, Delphi, statistics, logical analysis, we investigated the problems which the universities and colleges who are implementing the physical education curricula have met, the difficulties what the universities and colleges will meet if they implement this kind of curricula. In order to solve the problems, such as curricular designing, textbook writing, teacher training, and talents cultivating, we constructed the curricular systems of physical education, made the implementing scheme, and gave the suggestions and countermeasure.The results are following: most of universities and colleges in Sichuan province have provided Curricula in Physical education and art, so it is the time to popularize this kind of activities. During the experimental implementing in some universities and colleges, we have constructed the curricular systems frame in curricular objectives, teaching content, teaching mode and teaching evaluation. Teaching mode, we call "Teaching through competition" has been created that is different from common teaching mode, with some characteristics for Curricula in Physical education and art. Some effect has been made during the implementing of Physical education curricula what we constructed and this kind of curricula have some use for reference.
