In today's world, to promote teachers'professional development has become the main trend of teacher education development. Many countries had turned the focus of education reform on teacher professional development. As China's basic education reform in depth, construction of teachers as the key to the success of basic education. In the secondary school, the science teachers take the responsibility of the science education, so to promote the professional development of science teachers also has become the key to the successful implementation of science education. Science expert teacher as a teacher with expertise in science teaching is not only an important part of science teaching, and also the important stage of teacher development. This research will analyze the community characteristics and the cultivation of the science expert teachers by five parts.The first part is an introduction. Expounds the subject of the science teacher training background, and through a comprehensive analysis of existing literature and put forward the purpose of this study, significance and research content, ideas and methods.The second part is the study of the teacher education theory. Through theoretical studies related to teacher education, the development and trend of analysis on the meaning of science expert teachers. And then defines the concept of the novice, proficient and expert teachers, and teacher training, teacher education.The third part is the investigation of the science novice, proficient and expert teachers in the middle school. The investigation on the analysis the characteristics of the science teachers and the science teacher professional development factors derives from the novice, proficient and expert teachers in the present situation and the professional quality.The chapter IV is divided into the cultivation of the community of the science expert teacher. The author put forward the concept of scientific development on training for the science expert teachers. The cultivation is composed of the development with science teachers'personal knowledge, the development of science teachers'community, the construction of a learning culture and to establish the specialized teacher training institutions. And the cultivation expects to develop the science teacher with diversity, pluralism and life-long.The last part is about the issues and thinking of the science teachers for the impact factors of professional development in the middle school. The author sums up the science teacher professional development factors, including lack of the theoretical research, the living conditions of science teachers , lack of professional quality, lack of reasonable forms of evaluation, the imperfect on training system. At last, the author supports some suggestions to train the science teacher in the middle school.
